About Us

Our Story

Premiero Floors was founded in the winter of 2019 by Conrad Schmucker, a seasoned flooring professional with deep roots in the construction industry. He always enjoyed woodworking even at a young age. After years of balancing installing floors part-time for a local business and working for his Dad’s construction company, in between a season of international service work that took him across the U.S, the Middle East, and several disaster regions overseas, Conrad returned to his hometown of Middlefield, Ohio, with a vision: to build a flooring company centered on craftsmanship, integrity, and a great contractor experience.

What began as a one-man operation has since grown into a trusted name throughout Northeast Ohio and Western Pa. Today, Premiero Floors serves homeowners and businesses with a reputation for excellence, reliability, and a no-shortcuts approach.

Conrad’s diverse background—including his Amish roots, time spent leading disaster relief teams, volunteering internationally, and traveling extensively—has shaped our company’s approach to service, problem-solving, and respect for the people we work with.

Meet The Team

Conrad Schmucker - Owner

Conrad is the founder and driving force behind the company. He launched the business in 2019 with a clear vision: Deliver a high-end experience with a focus on communication and integrity. With over 11 years of hands-on experience in hardwood flooring, Conrad has worked on everything from simple small installs and refinishing a well-worn living room floor to complex historical renovations and high-end custom site-finished parquet floors.

What makes Conrad stand out is his commitment to craftsmanship, delivering a fantastic contractor experience, and making sure every project reflects the homeowner’s vision. His favorite part of the job is interacting with people, whether his team, our clients, or contractors. When he's not planning installs, managing the crew, or helping on a job site, you might find him backpacking, running a race, or volunteering. He’s always thinking a few steps ahead and pushing the standard higher, both for his team and the floors we install.

Gage Hunt - Install Manager

Meet Gage!

Gage started working with us in 2024 and has been in the flooring industry for 9 years. He’s got the skills, the experience, and the kind of work ethic that sets the tone for the whole crew. As our Install Manager, Gage oversees all installs, ensures quality control, and leads our crew. When he’s not on the job, you’ll find him spending quality time with his beloved wife and daughter or on the water fly fishing for his next trophy fish.

Thaddeus Byler - S&F Tech

Meet Thaddeus!

Thaddeus is our Sand and Finish Technician. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for craftsmanship, he specializes in sanding and finishing hardwood floors to perfection. Thaddeus takes pride in bringing out the natural beauty of every floor. Outside of work, he enjoys sports, reading, and exploring history.

 Camille Coblentz - Office Manager

Meet Camille!

Camille is our Office Manager, responsible for scheduling estimates, customer support, and keeping operations organized so the team can stay focused on their work. Outside of the office, Camille enjoys spending time with her family, going on adventures with her husband, playing the piano, and serving in church ministries.

Noah Oxley - S&F Tech

Meet Noah!

Noah is part of our Sand & Finish Team. Teamwork makes the difference on every job, and Noah is an important part of our Sand & Finish crew. Reliable, hardworking, and detail-driven, he helps us make sure every project is completed with the quality our clients expect. Noah’s biggest strength is his dedication to making sure everything is done with excellence. Outside of work Noah is passionate about music and adventuring with his wife.

Matthias Byler - S&F Manager

Meet Matthias!

Matthias is our Sand & Finish Manager and has been an essential part of our team for the past 4 years. He oversees every detail of sanding, staining, and finishing, ensuring that each floor meets the highest standards of craftsmanship. Matthias is known for his precision, patience, and an incredible eye for detail. His favorite part of the job is watching the transformation unfold: “Taking a dull, lifeless conglomeration of wood boards and crafting them into a gorgeous floor.” Outside of work, Matthias enjoys reading, tinkering with different fixer upper jobs, and talking about church and God.
